Chinmaya Jnana Yajna – Art of Healing(Washington DC), Silver Spring, MD, US – Video

Chinmaya Mission was established in India in 1953 by devotees of the world-renowned Vedanta teacher, His Holiness Swami Chinmayananda.

Mission Statement : To provide to individuals, from any background, the wisdom of Vedanta and practical means for spiritual growth and happiness, enabling them to become positive contributors to the society.

CMWRC encompasses a wide range of spiritual, educational, and charitable activities. It makes available the ageless wisdom of the Knowledge of the one Reality, and provides the tools to realize that wisdom in one’s life.

A Jnana Yajna is a series of public discourses on a particular topic given by an acharya (Guru). It means ‘Knowledge – Sacrifice’, a ‘sacrifice’ where one’s ignorance is burnt in the fire of knowledge. These discourses are free to all members and non members.

Healing is the process of getting better and becoming healthy.

Swami Chidatmananda is popular for his talks on India’s widely viewed cable TV channels (Gemini, Teja and Doordarshan), on topics such as the Bhagavad Gita and Vemana Padyamulu (poems by the Yogi Vemana).
