    Sripuram – The Golden Temple was built in a short span of 7 years. It was inaugurated on August 24, 2007. The consecration ceremony was witnessed by thousands of devotees. Since then, the temple has attracted hundreds of thousands of devotees; often breaching the 1 lakh mark on special occasions.

    The temple has also changed the face of Thiruamalaikodi village and the nearby town – Vellore. In the coming years, the temple envisages to create a positive influence on the society and ultimately bring about a change.

    Andhra Pradesh state is rich in historical monuments. It posseses many holy temples with architectural beauty, which attract large numbers of pilgrims and tourists from inside and outside the country.

    In Chittoor district are two sacred places not only for Andhra Pradesh but also for India. Tirupati and Tirumala here is Lord Venkateswara, who is also worshipped as -Balaji- by the north Indians. Tirumala lies in the midst of the Seshachalam hills, which are 2,000 feet above the sea level. It has also worldwide importance as a major tourist centre.

    Srikalahasti is also a famous pilgrim centre and the temple here is dedicated to Lord Siva known as Vayulingam and considered as Dakshina Kasi.Apart from those two temples there is another famous temple in chittoor district that is Sri Vara sidhi Vinayaka Temple which is significant for its purity and rich heritage.

    This historic temple is in Kanipaakam in Irala Mandal, Chittoor District. It is about 11kms from Chittoor town.

    This temple became widely known only in the past 10-15 years. Prior to this it was popular only in and around the Chittoor district, but the AP government has been promoting tourism. In addition, the number of buses which run between Tirupati and the local temples allows pilgrims greater transportation flexibility.

  • Tirumala Tirupati Sri Venkateswara temple, Tirupati, AP, India – Pictures – Upcoming Video

    Tirupati is in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is most famous for its Sri Venkateswara Temple dedicated to Vishnu, also known as Balaji in North Indian and Govinda in South Indian. The temple is located on top of Tirumala hills, while the town is located on the foothills. The Tirumala hill has seven peaks (Sapthagiri), said to represent the seven hoods of Adisesha, the serpent under whose hoods Vishnu resides in Vaikuntha.

    Marina Beach is an urban beach in the city of Chennai, India, along the Bay of Bengal, part of the Indian Ocean. The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Besant Nagar in the south, a distance of 13 km (8.1 mi), making it the longest urban beach in the country and the worlds fourth longest.

    Anna Samadhi (memorial) was built in 1970 and the MGR Samadhi in 1988, shortening the stretch at its northern end. More recent additions include the statues of Kamaraj and Shivaji Ganesan.

    Mahabalipuram was a 7th century port city of the South Indian dynasty of the Pallavas around 60 km south from the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The name Mamallapuram is believed to have been given after the Pallava king Narasimhavarman I, who took on the epithet Maha-malla (great wrestler), as the favourite sport of the Pallavas was wrestling. It has various historic monuments built largely between the 7th and the 9th centuries, and has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Residents of Baltimore and surrounding areas are invited to take part in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade which celebrates the life of one of Americas most influential civil rights, political and social icons.

    The Dr. Martin Luther King(MLK) Jr. Parade presented by Forman Mills was held on January 16, 2012 at noon. The annual celebration was an event to honor not only Dr. King, but to pay homage to others continuing his legacy. The event stepped off at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street, proceeds south on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and disbands at Baltimore Street.
