The free one-hour tour takes visitors through the landmark GM Renaissance Center and outlines the rich history that General Motors shares with the city of Detroit. The complimentary public tours are offered twice daily, Monday-Friday at 12:00 Noon and 2:00 pm on a first-come basis. Registration and tours begin at the PURE DETROIT/GM Collection store located in Tower 400 on Level 1.

Author Pavilions
More than 70 authors, illustrators and poets will be making presentations on the National Mall throughout the day in the Children, Teens & Children, Fiction & Mystery, History & Biography, Contemporary Life and Poetry & Prose pavilions.
Book Sales Pavilion
Borders is the official bookseller for the 2010 National Book Festival. Visit the book sales pavilion conveniently located on the festival grounds if you’d like to purchase selected books by 2010 National Book Festival authors. Be sure to pick up books by your favorite authors before going to the book-signing areas.
Pavilion of the States
The Pavilion of the States salutes the literary traditions of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories. A brochure available in this pavilion, called “Discover Great Places Through Reading,” offers a list of 52 great reads. Many of these books will be for sale in the Book Sales Pavilion.
Let’s Read America Pavilion
Children and families will enjoy reading-related activities in the Let’s Read America pavilions sponsored by Target, PBS, The Washington Post, AT&T;, the Library of Congress Federal Credit Union, Penguin Group (USA), ReadAloud.org and Scholastic Inc.

The National Book Festival site is convenient to several Metro subway stations:
Smithsonian and Federal Center SW on the Blue and Orange lines
L’Enfant Plaza and Archives/Navy Memorial on the Yellow and Green lines
Numerous bus routes from Washington, Maryland and Virginia also stop along the National Mall.

Kittatinny Point Visitor Center is the main New Jersey office for the DWGNRA. The recreation area encompasses 67,000 acres in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, transected by 40 miles of the scenic middle Delaware River.
Worthington State Forest, Van Campen’s Glen, a 25-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail that runs along the Kittatinny Ridge, more than 200 miles of roads, numerous rivers, lakes, streams and waterfalls, along with historic and cultural sites, are all contained within its borders.

Long Beach is a city in Nassau County, New York. One of Long Island’s two cities, it is located on a namesake island, which forms part of the Outer Barrier off Long Island’s South Shore.

Everyone can enjoy the 2,413 acres park which comprises of 6.5 miles of ocean beach frontage and a half mile of bay frontage developed for still water bathing. It is popular for its excellent beaches with 10 km in length facing to the Atlantic Ocean and furnishes one of the most popular summer recreational locations in the New York City area.

Robert Moses State Park has about five miles of ocean beach from which visitors can swim, surf or surf-fish. Anglers can also fish from piers. A day-use boat basin can accommodate 40 boats. The park also has picnic areas and the 18-hole Robert Moses State Park Pitch & Putt Golf Course.

Heckscher State Park has more than a million visitors a year. Twenty miles of trails attract hikers, bicycle and cross-country skiers. Swimmers can use the Great South Bay or the swimming pool complex. There are picnic areas, a boat launch ramp, playing fields, playground and 69 camp sites.
