    The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural event in America. The Farm Show Complex houses 24 acres under roof, spread throughout 11 buildings including three arenas.

    The Farm Show Complex & Expo Center offers free wireless internet service which covers the entire complex making it the largest wifi network in the East.

    The PA Farm Show has something for everyone, farmers and non-farmers. It provides an atmosphere for everyone to walk through, observe and educate themselves about different areas of agriculture, the Commonwealth’s largest industry, and what the industry provides to them.

    Brookside Gardens is Montgomery County’s incomparable, award-winning 50-acre public display garden situated within Wheaton Regional Park.

    Visualize close to one million twinkling colorful lights shaped in imaginative displays throughout the gardens. Enjoy the four seasons illuminated as giant summer sunflowers, autumn leaves, winter snowflakes, spring flowers, rain showers, and more.

    Walk along the easily accessible paths and you’ll see what sets this light show apart from others; it’s the hundreds of wrapped trees and shrubs, beautifully lighted gazebos, cascading fountains, and the individually formed displays in the shapes of blooming flowers and wild animals.

    Brookside Gardens is Montgomery County’s incomparable, award-winning 50-acre public display garden situated within Wheaton Regional Park.

    Included in the gardens are several distinct areas: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden and the Woodland Walk.

    The Formal Gardens areas include a Perennial Garden, Yew Garden, the Maple Terrace, and Fragrance Garden. Brookside Gardens also feature two conservatories for year-round enjoyment.

    A horticultural reference library is located in the airy Visitors Center. Admission is free.

    Look for moving displays such as a flock of geese, or an 11 foot giraffe covered with 9,000 lights. This festive, secular light show, now in its 14th season, is a popular family tradition in the Washington, DC area drawing close to 40,000 visitors each winter.

    Inside of the Conservatory, a winter display of holiday poinsettias, flowering plants and evergreens are combined in bright and bold combinations, providing a colorful landscape through which the garden railway trains travel.

    Listen to local musicians perform in the Visitors Center Auditorium each night of the show from 6:30pm to 8:00pm through January.

    Visitors must drive to the entrance gate. After paying at the gate, visitors drive into the parking lot, park their vehicle, and walk through the light show display.

It’s a three-day extravaganza of fairyland forests, gingerbread towns and toy train gardens, complemented by over 100 craft boutiques, holiday goodies and activities for kids of all ages.     NATS in association with SSVT proudly presents this program(Classical, semi-classical and folk dances of India).

    North America Telugu Society (NATS) is a non-profit national organization for Telugus living in North America. NATS primary objective is to address the needs and concerns that affect the everyday lives of Telugu people living in North America.

    Shree Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind (SRMAB) is the humble creation of a group of visionaries. SRMAB was founded in 1969 with the motto “Service to Humanity is service to God” by Sri. T V Srinivasan, Late Sri. Thirumurthy and friends while seeking spiritual enlightenment, were inspired by the simplicity and thoughtfulness of the great guru Sri Ramana Maharishi, and motivated to take social action.

    SRMAB’s Vision: “All people with disability will have the opportunity to fulfill their potential and live life with self-respect and dignity.”

    Over the past 4 plus decades, SRMAB services have reached over 16000 persons through the School (IBR) and Thirumurthy Rural Development Centre (IBR). This is supplemented with several community based rehabilitation (CBR) programs in semi-urban and rural areas in Karnataka. Covering 7 districts, and working in about 1800 villages.

    SRMAB reaches many more thousands by training teachers and CBR professional from across the country & overseas in its HRD initiatives.

    Bharatanatyam is a classical dance form originating from Tamil Nadu , a state in Southern India. This popular Tamil dance form called Bharatanatyam is a 20th century reconstruction of Cathir, the art of temple dancers.

    Dance and music as part of extra curricular activity was introduced in the year 1973. In the year 1982 they started teaching dances in classical style by touch and feel method for the first time to the composition of Bhagawan Ramana to the students of the Academy.

    From the year 1983 to date our students have toured and performed in about 2000 shows in India and have toured UK, US & Italy.

    Book Sales Pavilion
    Borders is the official bookseller for the 2010 National Book Festival. Visit the book sales pavilion conveniently located on the festival grounds if you’d like to purchase selected books by 2010 National Book Festival authors. Be sure to pick up books by your favorite authors before going to the book-signing areas.

    Pavilion of the States
    The Pavilion of the States salutes the literary traditions of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories. A brochure available in this pavilion, called “Discover Great Places Through Reading,” offers a list of 52 great reads. Many of these books will be for sale in the Book Sales Pavilion.

    Children and families will enjoy reading-related activities in the Let’s Read America pavilions sponsored by Target, PBS, The Washington Post, AT&T;, the Library of Congress Federal Credit Union, Penguin Group (USA), ReadAloud.org and Scholastic Inc.

    The National Book Festival site is convenient to several Metro subway stations:

    Smithsonian and Federal Center SW on the Blue and Orange lines
    L’Enfant Plaza and Archives/Navy Memorial on the Yellow and Green lines

    Numerous bus routes from Washington, Maryland and Virginia also stop along the National Mall.
