The Robert J. Lagomarsino Visitor Center at Channel Islands National Park – The visitor center features a bookstore, a display of marine aquatic life, and exhibits featuring the unique character of each park island. On weekends and holidays at 11 am and 3 pm rangers offer a variety of free public programs about the resources of the park.

Mandalay State Beach is an undeveloped park featuring sandy beach, coastal dunes and wetland environments. The park provides public access to the beach and preserves sensitive coastal dune habitat.

Point Dume State Beach features headlands, cliffs, rocky coves and vast beach access. The beach is presently operated by Los Angeles County, which also operates Zuma County Beach. These facilities are noted for swimming, surfing, scuba diving and fishing. Point Dume is a perfect place to watch for California gray whales during the December to mid April migration period.

Malibu Bluffs Park is a six-acre community park conveniently located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Malibu Hindu Temple, a temple of the Hindu god Venkateswara, built in 1981, is located in the city of Calabasas near Malibu, California in the Santa Monica Mountains. It is owned and operated by the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California. Built in the traditional South Indian style, it is frequented by followers of Hinduism in Southern California.

The Inspired by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, a handful of devotees began conducting weekly assemblies in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In 1984, His Holiness inaugurated the first BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Whittier, California, a small suburb just outside of Los Angeles. With the guidance and blessings of His Holiness, the congregation grew from just a handful of families to a strong group of dedicated devotees who yearned for spiritual growth.

The Living Desert is a 1200 acre facility that specializes in the plants and animals found throughout the deserts of the world. Many exotic and endangered species can be seen in natural surroundings such as bighorn sheep, oryx, cheetahs, wolves, striped hyenas, thick-billed parrots, leopards and golden eagles.
