    The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada internationally known for the concentration of resort hotels and casinos along its route. The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles (6.8 km) in length. Most of the Strip has been designated an All-American Road, and is considered a scenic route at night.

    Many of the largest hotel, casino, and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip. Fifteen of the worlds 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 62,000 rooms.

    Las Vegas comes alive at night, when the lights of the casinos dazzle the dark sky. There is no better time to explore the Strip than after the sun has gone down, and the Las Vegas Lights Night Tour will take you to the best spots.

    You could see, erupting volcano at The Mirage, the famous dancing fountains at Bellagio, the iconic neon – Welcome to Las Vegas- sign and the incredible Fremont Street Experience light show.     San Luis Reservoir was constructed as a storage reservoir for the federal Central Valley Project and the California State Water Project.

    The Romero Overlook Visitors Center commands a dramatic panorama of the 385-foot-tall rock and earthfill dam that stores 652 billion gallons of water in San Luis Reservoir.

    Watch a multi-slide presentation bring to life the facilitys 1962 groundbreaking ceremony presided over by President John F. Kennedy and Governor Edmund G. Brown, Sr., or you can request to watch a video from a selection of water topics.

    Exhibits explain how this joint state-federal complex of facilities serves both the State Water Project and the federal Central Valley Project.

    Friendly DWR guides can give you an informal tour of the center and answer questions about the recreational activities available and the region’s history.

    Mavericks is a surfing location in Northern California. It is located approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) from shore outside Pillar Point Harbor, just north of the town of Half Moon Bay at the village of Princeton-by-the-Sea. After a strong winter storm in the northern Pacific Ocean, waves can routinely crest at over 25 feet (7.6 m) and top out at over 80 feet (24 m). The break is caused by an unusually shaped underwater rock formation.

    In 1972, Alcatraz became a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.

    At Christmas in the Park this year, you could expect some very special events to help make your holidays magical. They start things off each Wednesday with their special movie nights featuring Polar Express, Home Alone, White Christmas, and Miracle on 34th Street (1994).

    Saturday December 6th from Noon until 3pm Unleashed by Petco presents Dog Day at the Park – where you can bring your furry friends to visit with Santa.

    On Saturday December 13 they have their annual Breakfast with Santa event at the Fairmont from 9am-12pm and also holding Toys for Tots -Stuff the Bus- event from 8am-5pm.

    On Sunday the 14th the third annual TiVo – Santa Run Silicon Valley. New Years Eve at the park is also very special this year as they present Disneys Frozen followed by a live performance by SAGE.
