    The U.S. Air Force Band is the Air Forces premier musical organization. The excellence demonstrated by the Bands Airmen musicians is a reflection of the excellence carried out 24 hours a day by Airmen stationed around the globe.

    Joined the Airmen of Note live for this special tour concert! The United States Air Force is celebrating its 70th birthday this year and this performance will highlight the bands legacy in the worlds greatest air force.

    The Airmen of Note is the premier jazz ensemble of the United States Air Force. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., it is one of six musical ensembles that comprise The U.S. Air Force Band. Created in 1950 to continue the tradition of Major Glenn Millers Army Air Forces dance band, the current band consists of 20 active duty Airmen musicians including one vocalist.

    Manams production Bhoochakram is supporting Aartiforgirls by providing education and food for 100 children for one year.

    Manam is a professional performing group formed by, and comprised of volunteers based out of the San Francisco Bay Area to identify and showcase Telugu Talent in Dance, Drama and Music (Performing Arts) and raise funds for supporting philanthropic causes. They are a volunteer group, open to everyone who are passionate about Performing Arts to make a difference in ones life, society and community.

    Alden E. Oliver Sports Park, Hayward – Saturday, October 1 – 9 am – 2 pm.

    A benefit hosted by Alameda County Supervisor Richard Valle and the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, in support of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, Hayward Education Foundation, New Haven Schools Foundation, Newark Educational Foundation, and Fremont Education Foundation.

    Science in the Park is a FREE family event that makes STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and health compelling and accessible to children, famlies, and the general public.

    This event includes interactive/hands on activities that promotes STEM, live animal demonstrations, health screenings, friendly competitions, and much more.

    The egg drop challenge is a long standing tradition of the Science, Earth, and Health Fair, and has carried over to Science in the Park. They partner with the Alameda County Fire Department – their firefighters drop the eggs from the top of their 60 foot ladder!

    Celebratef their farming and pioneer past during this years Apple Festival at the Garin Barn Visitor Center. Garin is home to an antique apple orchard with varieties of apples you will not find anywhere else!

    Try your hand at hand-cranking ice cream or pressing apple cider, then taste the fruit of your labor.

    Music, dancing, crafts, and old-fashioned games make this event fun for the whole family!

    The Japanese Gardens is open daily from 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., except Christmas Day.

    On the first Saturday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at the Japanese Gardens, the designer of the Japanese Gardens, Kimio Kimura of Kimurascaping, lectures on how to design, construct, manage, and appreciate a dynamic art where the garden is complimenting the structure to create a harmonious relationship.

    The Japanese Garden wedding sites available for rent during daylight hours for weddings March through August. The Japanese Garden is located right next to the Hayward Senior Center on North Third Street at Crescent in Hayward.

    Visited the 27th annual King Tut Festival, where you find instantly transported back in time to see a village of Egyptians making handmade food, playing live music, creating hand-made items and displaying a bazaar with one of a kind imported items – all for you! There was fun for the kids too with face-panting, bounce houses and more. There is authentic, affordable fun for the whole family, and best of all, admission is free!
