    Celebrated our nations Independence Day with thousands of parade onlookers! Came early, reserved spot, and joined in the fun while watching whimsical floats, fantastic giant balloons, and marching bands. There are few surprises too! Parade kicked off at 10 AM and preceded by the singing of our National Anthem and a flyover.

    The Fremont 4th of July Parade Committee is a non-profit, 501c3 organization whos mission is to plan and coordinate a 4th of July parade and celebration for and by the citizens of Fremont and surrounding cities. The parade and related events are completely funded by community sponsorship and donations.

    The parade begins at the Fremont Library, continues north on Paseo Padre Boulevard toward the new downtown area of Fremont and ends at Capital Avenue.

    On July 4, Independence Day, thousands of people watched the star spangled excitement of creative floats, specialty units, marching musical units and guest celebrities! This patriotic parade started at 10:00 a.m. sharp and completed in two hours to pass spectators along a one-mile route from the Library to Fremonts developing Downtown District featuring a differnet business district every year.

    In 1999, the City of Fremont began hosting an annual 4th of July Parade in each of the original five historic township areas that came together in 1956 to form the – City of Fremont. In 2001, budget cutbacks forced the City to step aside in the funding and organization of these annual parades; but the citizens and greater Fremont area volunteers came together to keep the tradition going. The parade now rotates between five of the famous districts of Fremont.

    ROUTE: The parade route starts at Library on Stevenson and heads north up Paseo Padre and turning left onto Liberty Street, and ends at State Street.
