    GWTCS Executive Committee was very proud to bring you one of its best Sri Nandana Nama Ugadhi Musical Nite With Sri Krishna, Sai Shilpa and with all local talents at 5pm on Saturday April 14, 2012(5.30PM to 10PM) at Thomas Pyle Middle School.

    Family, friends and relatives one and all and enjoyed Ugadhi Musical Nite followed by full course Andhra Dinner!!!

  • Dr. Martin Luther King(MLK) Jr. Parade, Baltimore, MD, US – Video

    Residents of Baltimore and surrounding areas are invited to take part in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade which celebrates the life of one of Americas most influential civil rights, political and social icons.

    The Dr. Martin Luther King(MLK) Jr. Parade presented by Forman Mills was held on January 16, 2012 at noon. The annual celebration was an event to honor not only Dr. King, but to pay homage to others continuing his legacy. The event stepped off at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street, proceeds south on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and disbands at Baltimore Street.

  • Highlandtown Christmas Holiday Train Garden, Baltimore, MD, US – Video

    This year, volunteers have expanded the layout to a 32 x 8 foot two-level platform. They have constructed precise replicas of the Natty Boh building, DJ Liquidators, the Patterson Park Pagoda and the Boat Lake.

    Free admission, donations gratefully accepted. The project, is a cooperative effort of the Baltimore City Fire Department, Highlandtown Main Streets and Southeast Community Development Corporation.

  • Highlandtown Christmas Holiday Train Garden, Baltimore, MD, US – Pictures – Upcoming Video

    Highlandtown Holiday Train Garden chugs into its third season with a new look and local landmarks. Open Fridays, 3-8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 3-Jan. 2 at Engine Company 41, 520 S. Conkling St.

    Over 2,000 visitors to last years garden were delighted to see model trains and streetcars travel along the track to pass by animated carnival rides, Santa workshop, and a miniature Highlandtown with storefronts representing landmarks like Hoehns Bakery, Stellas Bridal Fashions, National Lumber and Hardware and the Frank Zappa statue.

    The annual Baltimore Farmers Market and Bazaar opens a month early for the 2011 season on Sunday, April 3 through December 18 from 7am to sell out, usually noon.

    Every Sunday, shoppers can enjoy the freshest fruits, vegetables, baked breads, organic foods, smoked meats, cheeses and more. In addition, the bazaar offers unique crafts and collectibles including handmade accessories, home décor items and original artwork.

    Free parking at the market is courtesy of Mercy Medical Center. The parking lot is located at Guilford Avenue and Pleasant Street, adjacent to the bazaar lot, and is accessible from Guilford Avenue.
