    – Completed in 1932 for just over $200,000, the concrete span, one of the highest bridges of its kind in the world, soars 260 feet/79 meters above the bottom of a steep canyon carved by Bixby Creek.
    – Big Surs version of the Golden Gate—and probably the most Instagrammed feature along the Big Sur coastline.

    -Rocky Creek Bridge is a reinforced concrete open-spandrel arch bridge in California, built in 1932.

    Monastery Beach
    -Monastery Beach, named for the Carmelite Monastery across the highway, is part of Carmel River State Beach. The beach is sometimes called San Jose Creek Beach.

    Seaside Beach
    -Seaside Beach is the northernmost of 3 separate sections of Monterey State Beach. From here you can walk north below bluffs to Sand City Beach and beyond.

    The Window on the Bay Park is the result of these efforts. This beautiful park runs alongside Monterey State Beach, Del Monte Ave and the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreational Trail. There are plenty of recreational opportunities and scenic vistas.
