Old Sacramento is a historic eight-block section of Downtown. Each of their over 100 businesses are independently operated with separate hours of operation.
In addition to the historic buildings and monuments that make up the historic site, Old Sacramento is home to museums and entertainment venues. Visitors can ride a carriage through the streets, catch a comedy show, or view the city lights from on board a river cruise. For history buffs, the area museums offer a glimpse into the past, and include the California State Military Museum, California State Railroad Museum, Sacramento History Museum and even a museum dedicated to the history of Wells Fargo Bank.
