    Building on the record success of 25th FOG India Day celebrations, FOG invited us to celebrate the Unique Diwali function at the sprawling Alameda County Fair grounds. This year, they made arrangements for tens of thousand visitors to the function. It was a harmonious blend of Indian culture, religious rituals, best of the dance programs, show casing of Indian heritage and the best fireworks of bay area.

    This huge free event features 1,500+ adoptable animals, music, a spectacular family fun zone and so much more. It is the cannot-miss pet event of the year.

    Almost every bay area shelter and rescue will be there with adoptable pets looking for their forever homes. Last year we adopted out over 1,100 animals, or an animal every 42 seconds! You will get tons and tons of vendor samples, so be sure to bring a bag!

    Whatever your hobby, passion or distraction, there is probably a competition for it at the Alameda County Fair!

    The Alameda County Fair is operated by the non-profit Fair Association without any tax funding from the government. It is ranked one of the Top 50 North American Fairs and the 7th largest Fair in California. The Fairgrounds is home to the Oldest One-Mile Race Track in America.

    The Fair takes over their annual Pleasanton stomping ground with carnival rides, circus, live pig and horse races, a circus, exhibits, monster trucks, a hypnotist, plus an AgVenture park featuring a petting zoo, and much more.

    You could also attend 8 pm concert at their 3,000 seat amphitheater.

    The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular promises to live up to its name with non-stop, razzle-dazzle fireworks set to music performed by the Oakland East Bay Symphony and we will have a Salute to Hometown Heroes Video before fireworks. Fireworks start at approximately 9:45 pm.

    The Federation of Indian Associations is a Fremont based umbrella non-profit organization. It consists of over 40 member organizations.

    The FIA proudly hosted the annual Festival of India and Parade for the last eleven years. This event has continued to garner participants from all over Northern California, and has attracted luminaries and dignitaries from all over the world.

    Every year, the attendance has grown and has allowed their communities, to get a better understanding of the culture, the arts, the music and foods of the Indian American community and allow our communities to further strengthen our bonds with each other.
