The Union City Teen Workshop is also be there to help you put your project together or do some simple fixes on your bike! This is a FREE Event for the whole entire family! All with Cars/Trucks and Bicycles were welcomed to -Show and Shine- and Enjoy the day with the Club….
They had Live Music by Kool Katz Band , DJ Jimmy Jam, Ollin Anuhuac Danza Azteca, Awards, 50/50/ Raffles, Big Boyz Barbeque, and Vendors…

Burmese New Year Water Festival(Thingyan), Union City, CA, USA – Pictures
Joined the Bay Area Burmese Community for the annual Burmese New Year Water Festival at Kennedy Park in Union City from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday, May 29, 2016.
Activities included a water play area, fashion show, traditional culture thingyan dance, elderly homage ceremony, and water festival music entertainment as well as traditional food.
The Thingyan Water Festival is celebrated by all major ethnic and religious groups in Myanmar (Burma) and marks the start of the Burmese New Year which occurs in mid-April. Water is symbolic for washing away past sins to start the New Year physically and spiritually purified.
The Bay Area Burmese New Year Festival (Thingyan) promotes cultural diversity and is essential for strengthening democratic values in the San Francisco Bay Area through the development of intercultural awareness.
Bay Bombs Car Club – consists of a East Bay Chapter and an Contra Costa Chapter, representing
a combined total of over forty cars. The Club hosts several events each year which benefits local charities.

Adobo Festival – Filipino Community, Union City, CA, USA
The Adobo Festival is an annual festivity celebrated by mainstream audiences of people from all walks of life. Adobo is the Tagalog translation of marinated pork cooked with garlic, pepper, laurel leaves and a concoction of soy sauce and vinegar. lt is a well-known dish in the Filipino community eaten with rice.

They are family and community oriented; sharing a common interest in owning, maintaining and restoring quality classic cars, that range from the mid 1930 thru 1959. They plan social events, meet monthly and travel together as a club to various car shows. The Club hosts several events each year which benefits local charities. They contribute to events that give back to our local communities.

Kennedy Community Park is Union Citys largest community park. This park was named after Charles Kennedy, Union Citys first recreation director.
The park includes a beautiful, concrete memorial to Union City veterans of World War II, two play structures (one suitable for toddlers), a basketball court, an amphitheater, community center, teen center and four reservable picnic areas. The landscape is dotted with maple trees that surround the large grass area.
This park, which is conveniently located next to BART and Decoto Road has hosted many Union City events since its existence and is easily Union Citys most popular park.
