The Yosemite Valley Visitor Center has an exhibit hall, where you can learn how Yosemites spectacular landscape was formed, how people have interacted with it through the centuries, how wildlife adapts and survives, and how your national park continues to evolve. A free 23-minute film provides a stunning overview of Yosemites splendor.

This is The One—the one that Ansel Adams made famous in his shot of Yosemite Valley(Yosemite National Park) from Inspiration Point. Bridalveil Fall is one of Yosemites most iconic waterfalls, probably second only to its big sister, Yosemite Falls. You can easily hike the paved trail up to the base of Bridalveil Fall and in peak flow you will enjoy the drenching mists that swirl at the base of the falls. A poncho is recommended in early spring. The trail is wheelchair accessible and pet-friendly as long as your furry friends are on a leash.

Francis Beach has a campground with 52 individual sites, some suitable for tent camping, others for trailers or recreational vehicles. Some campsites have electrical hookups. Water and sewer hookups are not available, but there is a dump station and a water filling station. Rental RVs are not allowed to be dropped off or picked up from the park.

Throughout Fleet Week(Oct 1st to 9th – 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM), thousands of visitors climb aboard amphibious carriers, destroyers and cruisers docked at the Embarcadero to get a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of the sailors serving in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian Navy.
The public was encouraged to attend tours and interact with Sailors, Coasties and Marines.
When touring the ships, visitors are encouraged to bring as few items as possible when arriving for their tour and are recommended to wear flat-heeled, closed-toe shoes. High heel shoes are not permitted.
No pre-registration or RSVP is required; first come, first served basis.
All persons visiting the ships 18 years of age and over are required to show a valid US state/federal government issued photo identification card.
Tours may not be appropriate for those with certain medical conditions. There are steep ladders (stairways) to climb and uneven surfaces to traverse during a ship tour, and thus, tours may be difficult for parents carrying young children.
Failure to consent to screening and inspection will result in denial of authorization to enter the property.

2. USCGC Stratton is the third Legend-class cutter of the United States Coast Guard. It is the first -white hull- cutter named after a woman since the 1980s. Stratton is named for Coast Guard Captain Dorothy C. Stratton. It is a National Security Cutter (418 feet long, 54′ beam, 30 ft. draft) homeported in Alameda, CA.
